Responsibilities

• Monitor security alerts, dashboards, and logs across the Microsoft Defender suite, Microsoft Purview, and Microsoft Sentinel
• Manage and optimize Microsoft Defender security policies, configurations, and deployment
• Utilize Microsoft Purview capabilities to enforce compliance policies and protect sensitive data
• Develop and maintain custom detection rules and alerts within security platforms
• Serve as a primary responder for security incidents, performing forensic analysis, containment, and recovery
• Conduct root cause analysis for security incidents and implement corrective measures
• Proactively hunt for threats across the environment using Microsoft Defender XDR
• Collaborate with IT departments to implement security best practices and system hardening

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in IT, cybersecurity, or related field
• 3-5 years of experience managing Microsoft Defender, Purview, and Sentinel
• Relevant cybersecurity certifications (e.g., Microsoft SC series, CompTIA Security+, GIAC)
• Ability to travel domestically up to 10%
• Must be a U.S. citizen, lawful permanent resident, or protected individual per ITAR regulations

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience supporting aerospace and defense organizations subject to CMMC
• Experience residing in Microsoft 365 GCC High
• Proficiency with compliance tracking tools, GRC platforms, and project management tools
