IT Security Analyst

Responsibilities

• Manage end-to-end security controls, including selection, design, and operational oversight
• Ensure alignment with legislative mandates, regulatory frameworks, and industry standards
• Conduct comprehensive risk, vulnerability, and business impact assessments for medium-complexity systems
• Lead investigations using forensic techniques to mitigate threats and prevent recurrence
• Champion accreditation and audit activities, specifically within AWS cloud environments
• Translate complex security risks into actionable insights for technical and non-technical stakeholders

Requirements

• Proven expertise in cloud security and risk assessments, preferably within AWS environments
• Deep understanding of frameworks including ISM, PSPF, NIST, ISO 27001, and the Essential Eight
• Experience authoring accreditation and certification documentation for regulatory audits
• Practical experience with IRAP assessments or equivalent high-level assurance reviews
• Ability to obtain an AGSV Security clearance
• Strong interpersonal skills to bridge the gap between technical vulnerabilities and business impact

Preferred Qualifications

• Prior experience working in government or highly regulated sectors
• Professional certifications such as CISA, CISM, or status as an IRAP Assessor
