IT Security Analyst

Responsibilities

• Manage end-to-end security controls, from initial design to long-term operational oversight
• Ensure alignment with legislative mandates, regulatory frameworks, and industry standards
• Conduct comprehensive risk, vulnerability, and business impact assessments for medium complexity systems
• Lead investigations using advanced forensic techniques to mitigate threats and prevent recurrence
• Champion accreditation and audit activities, specifically within AWS cloud environments
• Act as a key advisor on physical, procedural, and technical safeguards
• Translate complex security risks into actionable insights for technical and non-technical stakeholders

Requirements

• Proven expertise in cloud security and risk assessments, preferably within AWS environments
• Deep understanding of ISM, PSPF, NIST, ISO 27001, and the Essential Eight frameworks
• Strong skills in authoring compliance documentation and accreditation artifacts
• Practical experience with audit and assurance processes, such as IRAP assessments
• Exceptional interpersonal and strategic communication skills
• Ability to obtain an AGSV Security clearance

Preferred Qualifications

• Prior experience working in government or highly regulated sectors
• Professional certifications such as CISA, CISM, or status as an IRAP Assessor
