IT Project Engineer

Responsibilities

• Implement secure, compliant client environments using industry standards for regulated financial firms
• Support onboarding projects from discovery through cutover and handoff to Support
• Execute cloud and infrastructure builds including Microsoft 365, Entra ID, and Windows Server
• Perform and document cloud and infrastructure assessments with prioritized recommendations
• Serve as a technical escalation point for Junior Project Engineers and interns
• Produce high-quality technical documentation including runbooks, configuration guides, and diagrams
• Collaborate with Project Managers to provide updates on progress, risks, and dependencies

Requirements

• 3 to 7 years of professional IT experience in Desktop Support, Systems Engineering, or Systems Administration
• Experience in an MSP or multi-tenant environment, ideally supporting financial services or healthcare
• Hands-on project and implementation experience with onboarding or migration projects
• Strong expertise in Microsoft 365 administration, Entra ID, Intune, and Conditional Access
• Networking and security experience with Palo Alto, Cisco, Meraki, or Ubiquiti
• Strong systems administration knowledge of Windows Server, Active Directory, Group Policy, and DNS
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills for technical and non-technical stakeholders

Preferred Qualifications

• Interest in automation and scripting using PowerShell
• Experience with MSP toolsets like ConnectWise or NinjaOne
• Understanding of security and compliance expectations for alternative investment managers
• Relevant Microsoft or security/network certifications (e.g., MS-102, MS-700, AZ-900, Network+, PCNSA)
