IT Program Manager - Cash Services Modernisation

Responsibilities

• Mobilise the Cash Modernisation programme, including establishing governance, delivery models, and core execution rhythms.
• Define roles, responsibilities, decision forums, and escalation paths across business, IT, architecture, and security teams.
• Translate strategic objectives into an integrated programme roadmap with clear milestones and measurable outcomes.
• Lead project managers, squads, and external vendors to drive execution across complex, interdependent workstreams.
• Manage programme scope, budget, resources, risks, and dependencies with high delivery discipline.
• Build alignment between sponsors, senior leadership, and technology teams to balance ambition with operational risk.

Requirements

• Proven experience leading large-scale, multi-year IT transformation or core platform modernisation programmes in regulated environments.
• Strong background in payments, cash management, banking, or financial market infrastructure.
• Ability to influence executive-level stakeholders and align diverse business and technology organisations.
• Deep programme management discipline, including RAID management, budgeting, and change control.
• Experience working with Agile delivery models and modern engineering practices.
• Technical credibility to engage with architecture and engineering teams on complex integration and resilience trade-offs.
• Excellent written and spoken English communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications

• Direct leadership experience in ISO 20022 migration or core banking platform programmes.
• Knowledge of SWIFT messaging, liquidity-related processes, or correspondent banking models.
• Experience managing strategic vendors, system integrators, or offshoring arrangements.
• Relevant certifications such as MSP, PMP, PRINCE2, or SAFe.
