IT Operations Engineer - SAP BTP

Responsibilities

• Provide second-line operational IT support for the SAP Business Technology Platform (BTP), including ticket resolution and incident management.
• Perform root cause analysis for problem tickets to ensure business continuity and service stability.
• Automate operational tasks using scripting languages such as Java or Python.
• Maintain Azure VMs used for BTP connectivity services and execute requests for new customer demands.
• Collaborate with Application Support, Project Delivery teams, and vendors to deliver new capabilities and ensure supportable solutions.
• Analyze complex business processes and translate requirements into functional specifications.
• Manage security vulnerability remediation and assess the impact of CVE notes.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Technology or a related field.
• Minimum of 5 years of relevant industry experience.
• Proficiency in Agile or SAFe ways of working.
• Hands-on experience with Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, Azure) and cloud platforms (Azure, AWS, or BTP).
• Knowledge of microservices, containers (Docker, Kubernetes), and networking concepts (routers, firewalls, IP networks).
• Experience with SAP Basis administration and database management.
• Strong scripting and automation skills.
• Understanding of ITIL processes and IT Service Management.
• Ability to communicate clearly in English and work effectively in a global, virtual environment.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with SAP HANA administration and Cloud Integrations.
• Skills in HANA Cloud DBA or HANA performance tuning.
• Expertise in Oracle DBA or ABAP performance tuning.
• Knowledge of CPI development and troubleshooting.
