IT Operations Engineer - SAP BTP

Responsibilities

• Provide second-line operational IT support for the SAP Business Technology Platform (BTP), including ticket resolution and incident management.
• Perform root cause analysis for problem tickets to ensure business continuity and service stability.
• Automate operational tasks using Java or Python scripting.
• Maintain Azure VMs used for BTP connectivity services and execute requests for new customer demands.
• Collaborate with Application Support, Project Delivery teams, and vendors to deliver new capabilities and ensure supportable solutions.
• Analyze complex business processes and translate requirements into functional specifications.
• Manage security vulnerability remediation (CVE notes) and ensure compliance with ITIL processes.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Technology or a related field.
• Minimum 5 years of industry experience in IT operations or engineering.
• Experience working in Agile or SAFe environments.
• Proficiency in scripting and automation (e.g., Python, Java).
• Hands-on experience with Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, Azure).
• Knowledge of cloud platforms such as Azure, AWS, or SAP BTP.
• Understanding of microservices, containers (Docker, Kubernetes), and networking concepts (routers, firewalls, IP networks).
• Experience with SAP Basis administration and database management.
• Familiarity with ITIL processes and IT Service Management.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with SAP HANA administration and performance tuning.
• Knowledge of SAP CPI development and troubleshooting.
• Expertise in Oracle DBA or ABAP performance tuning.
• Experience with Fiori configurations for SAP BTP/SCP CF.
