IT Network Administrator

Responsibilities

• Monitor, configure, and maintain network hardware and software including routers, switches, firewalls, and wireless access points
• Troubleshoot and resolve network issues to ensure minimal downtime
• Implement network security measures to safeguard against data breaches
• Assist in planning and implementing network upgrades, expansions, and migrations
• Document network configurations, setups, and processes
• Provide support for network-related inquiries from staff and end-users

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field
• 2-4 years of experience in network administration or a related IT role
• Strong understanding of TCP/IP, DHCP, DNS, and VLANs
• Experience configuring and managing routers, switches, and firewalls
• Knowledge of network security practices including VPNs and IDS/IPS
• Excellent communication skills

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with cloud networking (AWS, Azure)
• Familiarity with network monitoring tools
• Knowledge of wireless networking (802.11) and VoIP technologies
• CCNP certification
• Scripting or automation skills
