IT Manager - Software Development

Responsibilities

• Lead and oversee the design of robust ETL pipelines to ensure data reliability and accuracy.
• Manage a team of software engineers in the development of data services layers and global data platforms.
• Implement monitoring and alerting for data pipelines to track quality and freshness.
• Ensure engineering excellence through CI/CD, containerization (Docker, Kubernetes/GKE), and automated testing.
• Own delivery commitments using Agile and DevOps methodologies to ensure high-quality, on-time execution.
• Collaborate with InfoSec and compliance teams to embed security and privacy requirements (GDPR, LGPD) into development.
• Mentor and develop engineers and technical leads, fostering a culture of accountability and continuous improvement.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or equivalent practical experience.
• 15+ years of professional software development experience, including leadership of data platforms.
• 5+ years of experience leading or managing data engineering teams.
• Expertise in Java (Spring Boot) and back-end development.
• Experience with relational databases (MySQL, Oracle, PostgreSQL) and NoSQL databases (MongoDB).
• Proven experience in ETL pipeline development and data governance.
• Hands-on experience with Agentic AI development.
• Practical experience with Google Cloud Platform (GCP) services such as GKE, Cloud SQL, Pub/Sub, and BigQuery.
• Proficiency with CI/CD tools (GitLab, Jenkins, ArgoCD) and containerization.

Preferred Qualifications

• Cloud certifications (GCP, Azure, or AWS).
• Experience with SQL query performance tuning and optimization.
• Strong background in Data Modeling.
