IT Manager

Responsibilities

• Coordinate staff availability to ensure unit coverage from 6am to 6pm
• Monitor ticket queues for incidents and requests from Fire users
• Manage inventory, including databases, warranties, and end-of-life disposal
• Participate in Fire IT projects, reviewing contracts, SOWs, and SLAs
• Support Fire/EMS 911 CAD (Computer Aided Dispatch) and Mobile Data Terminals
• Ensure server infrastructure health and follow SDLC protocols
• Manage hiring processes including application reviews and onboarding
• Provide annual performance reports and KPIs to staff
• Be available for critical outages and unplanned events outside core hours

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Science, Systems Analysis, or related field
• 5+ years of information systems experience in a management capacity
• Proficiency in Microsoft 365, Active Directory, and MFA
• Experience troubleshooting hardware (PCs, laptops, mobile tablets, printers)
• Familiarity with networking, infrastructure, and IT Service Management
• Strong communication, time management, and leadership skills

• Postgraduate degree
• Experience in a governmental environment
