IT Infrastructure Manager

Responsibilities

• Design and build infrastructure across AWS, on-premises, networking, identity, and collaboration platforms
• Translate architectures into detailed configurations and execute builds and changes
• Own the configuration, operation, and optimization of the AWS environment, including governance and cost management
• Configure and maintain on-premises server and network systems including VMware, Windows Server, and Active Directory
• Manage network platforms such as Juniper, Cisco Meraki, and Palo Alto Networks
• Ensure backup and disaster recovery integrity using tools like Veeam
• Govern Okta, Microsoft 365, Zoom, and Slack to meet security and compliance requirements
• Serve as the primary technical authority over the Managed Service Provider (MSP)
• Act as the Tier 3 escalation point for the service desk to resolve complex infrastructure incidents
• Manage enterprise AI platforms, specifically Anthropic Claude, including user provisioning and access controls
• Partner with validation teams on computer system validation (CSV) for GxP and SOX compliance

Requirements

• BA/BS in Information Technology or equivalent experience
• Minimum 10 years in IT infrastructure
• 8+ years of hands-on solution architecture and technical design
• Experience in life sciences or biotech environments with understanding of GxP and regulated IT operations
• Deep expertise in AWS (system engineering, security, and cost governance)
• Extensive experience with Windows Server, VMware vSphere, and Active Directory
• Strong network administration skills (routing, switching, firewalls) with Cisco Meraki or Palo Alto Networks
• Proficiency in scripting or automation languages such as Python, PowerShell, or Ruby
• Experience managing MSP or third-party service delivery relationships

Preferred Qualifications

• AWS certifications (Solutions Architect, Security Specialty, SysOps, or DevOps Engineer)
• Experience with infrastructure-as-code tooling like Terraform or CloudFormation
• Experience administering enterprise AI platforms
