IT Infrastructure Engineer

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and implement a global secure communications network interconnecting critical DoD weapon systems
• Maintain an AWS hybrid cloud virtualized network and on-prem ESXi/VMware environments
• Manage Cisco ASA next-generation firewalls and create various VPN tunnels
• Integrate and utilize network monitoring tools such as Splunk
• Troubleshoot layer 1-4 networking issues, including BGP and EIGRP protocols
• Assist users with AD/LDAP issues and ensure strict adherence to IA security protocols
• Document new policies and procedures to maintain business continuity

Requirements

• 10 years of experience in IT infrastructure or systems engineering
• Active TS/SCI security clearance
• Active IAT III level certification
• Bachelor’s degree in a related field or equivalent professional experience
• Strong knowledge of TCP/IP networking (routing, switching, NAT, VLANs)
• Experience with Linux and Windows server administration
• Proficiency with virtualization platforms (VMware, Hyper-V) and AWS cloud infrastructure
• Experience with infrastructure automation or scripting (Bash, Python, PowerShell)
• Experience working in secure or regulated environments (STIGs, NIST, RMF)

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with Infrastructure-as-Code (Terraform, CloudFormation, Ansible)
• Familiarity with container platforms like Docker or Kubernetes
• Knowledge of observability platforms (Splunk, ELK, CloudWatch)
• AWS Solutions Architect Associate, CISSP, or Cisco CCNA/CCNP certifications
• Experience supporting air-gapped or highly secured DoD/federal environments
