IT Infrastructure Engineer

Neros is a defense technology company rebuilding America’s drone industrial base. We design and manufacture high-performance unmanned systems that are tested in combat, iterated at startup speed, and built at massive scale.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement secure cloud infrastructure using Microsoft 365, Azure, and AWS
• Partner with the Security Lead on SIEM operations and NIST 800-171 compliance
• Implement and maintain monitoring and alerting solutions for system health
• Manage system patching and updates using endpoint and infrastructure management tools
• Provide advanced L3/L4 technical support for bare metal servers and Linux environments
• Administer and support SQL Server environments and virtualization platforms (Hyper-V, VMware)
• Develop and maintain automated backup solutions and disaster recovery strategies
• Identify and prioritize automation opportunities to improve operational efficiency

Requirements

• Experience at a defense technology startup or fast-paced, high-growth technology company
• Hands-on SIEM implementation or tuning experience (Splunk, Sentinel, etc.)
• Direct experience operating under NIST 800-171, CMMC, or similar defense compliance frameworks
• Knowledge of Kubernetes, Docker, and Terraform
• Familiarity with segmented network architectures and hybrid environments
