IT Infrastructure Engineer

Responsibilities

• Administer servers, virtualization platforms, storage systems, and network infrastructure
• Manage switching, firewall rule implementation, VPN, and wireless networks
• Act as Tier 3 escalation point for complex infrastructure incidents
• Lead incident resolution, root cause analysis, and problem management efforts
• Execute complex changes, upgrades, and deployments
• Ensure effective backup, recovery, and disaster recovery processes
• Maintain system performance, uptime, and reliability across all sites
• Develop and maintain documentation, standards, and runbooks
• Mentor junior administrators and provide technical guidance
• Coordinate with vendors and manage multi-site infrastructure needs
• Comply with company Information Security requirements and policies

Requirements

• Associate degree or technical certification in Infrastructure Administration
• Minimum 5 years of relevant experience
• Experience with FreshService or similar ITSM platforms
• Experience with NIST 800-171 / CMMC Level 2 compliance
• Strong knowledge of networking (switching, routing, firewalls)
• Demonstrated ability to support Windows Server and Windows Failover Cluster
• Experience with Hyper-V and virtualization platforms
• Expertise in backup and disaster recovery
• Ability to work outside of core business hours and travel as required

Preferred Qualifications

• MCITP, CompTIA A+, or Network+ certification
• Experience with Cyber-security and major incident response
• Familiarity with CMDB best practices
