IT & HPC Support Engineer

Responsibilities

• Support the installation, configuration, integration, and licensing of the ANSYS product portfolio for both customer and internal environments.
• Perform diagnostics and troubleshooting for customer issues related to HPC features and ANSYS performance in Linux environments.
• Assist customers in running ANSYS workloads on multi-core systems, HPC clusters, and virtual environments.
• Support job schedulers, parallel processing, MPI execution, and remote workflows.
• Develop custom scripts or extensions to adapt ANSYS deployments to specific customer HPC environments.
• Provide internal IT support for Windows and Linux systems, including workstations, servers, and application-related issues.
• Collaborate with the technical team to resolve complex technical problems and implement long-term solutions.

Requirements

• BS or MS in Computer Science, IT, Engineering, or a related field.
• 5+ years of experience in ANSYS/HPC support, IT systems administration, or technical software support.
• 2+ years of experience in customer-facing technical support roles.
• Strong expertise in Linux and Windows administration, including software deployment and network administration.
• Experience with HPC systems, cluster computing, MPI, and job management systems (e.g., Slurm, PBS, LSF, or Grid Engine).
• Proficiency in scripting languages such as Bash, Python, or PowerShell.
• Strong logical problem-solving skills and fluency in English.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or GCP and related automation tools.
• Familiarity with CRM tools and structured technical support workflows.
• Experience deploying CAD products in standalone or networked environments.
