IT Help Desk Technician

Responsibilities

• Serve as the first point of contact for internal customers via phone, email, and chat
• Provide advanced troubleshooting for hardware, software, and network issues
• Perform remote and physical troubleshooting using diagnostic techniques
• Manage Help Desk tickets in a timely and courteous manner
• Escalate unresolved issues and recurring problems to the correct team members
• Record events, problems, and resolutions in logs
• Assist end-users by guiding them through problem-solving processes
• Lift and move computer equipment up to 50 lbs
• Provide on-call support and occasional after-hours work

Requirements

• 3+ years of experience as a Help Desk Technician
• Associate’s degree in IT, Computer Science, or equivalent work experience
• Working knowledge of Office 365 products
• Understanding of computer systems, mobile devices, and Windows OS
• Experience with hardware installs
• Strong understanding of networking concepts (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VPN, Active Directory)
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• High level of emotional intelligence and customer service skills

Preferred Qualifications

• CompTIA A+ or Network+ certifications
• Experience with ticketing systems like ServiceNow, Jira, or ServiceDesk
• Experience working in a warehouse environment with receiving and distribution applications
