IT Field Systems Technician I

Responsibilities

• Test, diagnose, and resolve end-user desktop, hardware, operating system, and application problems.
• Configure and deploy end-user hardware including laptops, desktops, telephones, and mobile devices.
• Manage end-user support requests via the Help Desk ticketing system and serve as an escalation point.
• Setup and maintain user accounts and maintain computer and hardware inventory.
• Support the functionality of Microsoft Office 365 applications and provide meeting room A/V support.
• Act as the single point of contact for incident resolution and escalate to subject matter experts when necessary.

Requirements

• 4-5 years of experience in computer technology-related fields.
• 4-5 years of experience in service desk or help desk environments.
• 4-5 years of experience with Microsoft desktop operating systems, mail clients, and applications.
• 4-5 years of experience in user account creation and administration.
• 2-3 years of hands-on experience operating within an ITIL-aligned IT service management framework.
• CompTIA A+ Certification (or demonstrated equivalent experience/certification).
• Excellent oral, analytical, and written communication skills with a strong focus on customer service.
• Ability to travel as required.

Preferred Qualifications

• Associate degree.
• CompTIA Network+ Certification or demonstrated equivalent experience.
