About the role

Responsibilities

  • Provide hands-on technical support for end-user devices including laptops, desktops, printers, and mobile devices
  • Support shop floor technology such as PCs, RF scanners, tablets, label printers, and barcode systems
  • Troubleshoot and resolve hardware, software, and network issues in a timely manner
  • Maintain manufacturing systems including MES platforms like Ignition, Argonaut, and iGear
  • Provide support for engineering applications such as AutoCAD and related tools
  • Document incidents, troubleshooting steps, and resolutions within the IT service management system
  • Install, configure, and maintain IT infrastructure in alignment with company standards
  • Provide on-call and after-hours support as required to ensure minimal plant downtime

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field (or equivalent experience)
  • 5–7 years of hands-on IT support experience, preferably within a manufacturing environment
  • Strong proficiency with Windows 10/11 and Windows Server environments
  • Experience supporting Microsoft Office applications and desktop hardware
  • Proven ability to troubleshoot RF scanners, handheld devices, and industrial scanning systems
  • Familiarity with Manufacturing Execution Systems (MES)

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience supporting engineering software such as AutoCAD
  • Understanding of network connectivity and integration with PLC-based systems
  • Experience gathering business requirements to support process improvements through IT solutions
