About the role
Responsibilities
- Setup, support, operate and maintain IT infrastructure and bespoke applications during IT events
- Support the remote Ops Room at Grand Prix, Test Events, and Filming Days
- Provide remote support to the traveling IT team using detailed checklists
- Act as the main point of contact for Ops Room issues and drive improvements
- Collaborate with other IT and business teams on complex technical problems
- Propose and lead projects within the Event IT space
- Lead air and sea freight management to ensure equipment availability at all events
Requirements
- Relevant experience in a similar role within a motorsport environment
- Experience supporting and implementing LAN, WAN, and SD-WAN
- Knowledge of Windows operating systems (server & client), virtualization, and HCI technologies
- Working knowledge of Linux-based systems
- Experience supporting IT hardware from end-user devices to servers
- Strong analytical, fault-finding, and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work at height
- Relevant certifications such as CCNA, MCP, MCSE, or VCP
- Ability to travel extensively and work offset hours according to the F1 calendar
