About the role
Responsibilities
- Ensure proper computer operation to enable end users to accomplish business tasks
- Resolve escalated end-user help requests in a timely and accurate manner
- Perform hands-on desktop fixes, including software installation, hardware upgrades, and system configuration
- Implement file backups and ensure anti-virus software and definitions are up-to-date
- Record, track, and document the service desk request process and problem-solving steps
- Perform preventative maintenance on workstations, printers, and peripherals
- Test fixes to ensure all technical problems are adequately resolved
Requirements
- College diploma in Computer Sciences, IT, or Engineering
- Minimum 3 years of experience in a similar IT support environment
- Proven analytical and problem-solving abilities
- Exceptional customer service orientation and ability to work in a team
- Ability to prioritize and execute tasks in a high-pressure environment
- Willingness to work in shifts
- Willingness to relocate to other Emirates if required
Preferred Qualifications
- Cisco or Microsoft-related certifications
