IT Business Systems Analyst II (Customer)

Responsibilities

• Support the Customer technology platform for Southern Company Gas applications used by Distribution Operations.
• Assess systems and technical issues to provide recommendations that meet business needs.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to elicit requirements and develop implementation and project plans.
• Identify technology applications to solve organizational problems and manage technical issues with developers.
• Update and manage configurations and provide support for application software solutions.
• Lead the analysis and evaluation of application functionality to increase utilization of standard features.
• Assist in investment planning, prioritization, and recommending actions to reduce IT costs and organizational risk.
• Support business case development and coordinate vendor management activities, including RFPs and SOWs.

Requirements

• BS or BA degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field.
• 2 years of experience in requirements elicitation, business analysis, or business relationship management.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and project management skills.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities in a fast-paced environment.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills for interacting with stakeholders at all levels.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience working within Customer or Operations Services business units.
• Demonstrated business acumen and ability to build strategic partnerships.
• Experience with requirements traceability matrices.
