IT Business Analyst - LIMS Process Expert

Responsibilities

• Translate laboratory and business requirements into clear technical deliverables and functional designs.
• Serve as the primary liaison between EU laboratory stakeholders and the Product Development team.
• Elicit, document, and refine Business Requirements (BRD), User Requirements (URD), and acceptance criteria.
• Optimize analytical workflows for chromatography data processing to enhance quality and efficiency.
• Lead regional User Acceptance Testing (UAT), business sign-off, and change management for new features.
• Ensure software workflows comply with ISO/IEC 17025, EU Ecolabel, and other EU regulatory frameworks.
• Map current and future-state laboratory workflows and identify compliance gaps or risks.
• Build performance dashboards to track throughput, error rates, and QC metrics.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Business, Science, Engineering, IT, or a related field.
• 3+ years of experience as a Business Analyst or Product Owner in software, laboratory, or scientific environments.
• Proven experience working in an Agile environment using tools like Jira and Confluence.
• Familiarity with Laboratory Information Management Systems (LIMS) and Chromatography Data Systems (CDS).
• Working knowledge of EU environmental testing compliance (e.g., ISO/IEC 17025).
• Strong analytical skills and proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
• Fluent English communication skills (written and oral) for collaborating with multi-cultural teams.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in environmental, food, agroscience, or biopharma testing laboratory operations.
• Proficiency in building BPMN workflows and writing detailed functional specifications.
• Experience with instrument integration and scientific data management platforms.
• Advanced degree such as an MBA or M.Sc.
