About the role

Responsibilities

  • Lead IT audit projects and review cycles, partnering with co-source and external auditors on SOX compliance.
  • Shape the IT audit strategy and manage project lifecycles, including procedure development and task assignment.
  • Execute SOX compliance testing, including walkthroughs and testing of IT General Controls (ITGCs) and automated controls.
  • Advise management on strengthening controls for new and existing products, projects, and initiatives.
  • Recommend fixes for control deficiencies, track remediation plans, and verify effectiveness.
  • Build strong relationships with partners across the organization to balance control environments with business agility.
  • Prepare materials for quarterly audit committee meetings and management reports.

Requirements

  • Undergraduate degree in IT, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical discipline.
  • CISA, CPA, or another relevant professional designation.
  • 5+ years of experience in public accounting, internal audit, risk advisory, or a related field.
  • Strong technical understanding of ITGCs, system controls, and business process controls.
  • Solid knowledge of control frameworks such as COBIT and COSO.
  • Deep understanding of internal auditing standards and SOX compliance requirements.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills with sharp attention to detail.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience working at a Big 4 public accounting firm.
  • Technical background in engineering, systems, infrastructure, or software.
  • Interest in leveraging AI and automation to improve audit procedures.
