IT Associate Director – AI Solutions

Responsibilities

• Partner with China business leaders across Commercial, Medical, R&D, and Supply Chain to identify and refine high-value AI use cases.
• Shape the China AI solutions roadmap in alignment with global digital and AI strategies.
• Lead the end-to-end lifecycle of AI solutions, including use case definition, data readiness, model development (ML, Generative AI), and deployment.
• Ensure AI solutions comply with global IT governance and China-specific data protection and cybersecurity regulations.
• Adapt global AI and data platforms to meet local business requirements and data residency constraints.
• Manage external vendors and AI technology partners to ensure quality and cost-effectiveness.
• Lead and develop a team of contractors focused on delivering advanced analytics and AI capabilities.
• Act as the primary China IT contact for global IT and data communities to support localization of global solutions.

Requirements

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Engineering, Information Systems, or a related field.
• 10+ years of progressive IT experience, with at least 5 years specifically in AI, data, or analytics.
• Proven experience delivering end-to-end AI or advanced analytics solutions in an enterprise environment.
• Experience working within a global, matrixed organization.
• Fluency in both English and Mandarin (written and spoken).

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience working in regulated industries such as life sciences, healthcare, or pharmaceuticals.
• Strong understanding of MLOps concepts and agile, product-oriented delivery practices.
• Deep knowledge of data privacy, security, and AI governance frameworks.
