IT Asset Administrator

Responsibilities

• Administer the end-to-end software purchasing process, including vendor engagement, quoting, and contract coordination
• Oversee all software renewals to prevent service lapses or compliance gaps
• Maintain a centralized calendar for tracking renewal dates, contract terms, and vendor obligations
• Develop and maintain processes for tracking software licenses, entitlements, and usage
• Identify opportunities to optimize spend through consolidation or right-sizing
• Establish and enforce software asset management (SAM) policies and best practices
• Monitor compliance with licensing agreements and prepare for internal or external audits
• Collaborate with IT, Security, Finance, and business units to align software decisions with budget and strategy
• Maintain accurate records in SAM tools and produce regular reports on inventory and spend

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology or a related discipline (or equivalent experience)
• Experience in Software Asset Management (SAM), IT Asset Management (ITAM), or Procurement
• Strong understanding of software licensing models such as SaaS, subscription, and perpetual agreements
• Familiarity with SAM tools and ITSM platforms
• U.S. citizenship is required
• Ability to obtain a U.S. Government Security Clearance
