IT Application & Integration Specialist

Responsibilities

• Support the design of modular application architectures using Spring Boot Modulith principles
• Promote clear module boundaries, domain-driven design (DDD), and internal API structuring
• Guide teams on application integration patterns, including synchronous and event-driven communication
• Coordinate and evaluate Proof of Concepts (PoCs) to validate technical approaches
• Act as a bridge between architecture and delivery teams to support technical decision-making
• Collaborate with Cloud Competency Centre teams to align applications with Azure and cloud-native best practices
• Document architecture decisions (ADRs) and promote best practices in security and scalability

Requirements

• Higher or University level IT education
• Strong practical knowledge of Spring Boot
• Experience with application integration patterns and modular monolith architectures
• Understanding of Domain-Driven Design (DDD) concepts
• Proficiency with REST APIs and OpenAPI/Swagger
• Knowledge of Azure or similar cloud platforms
• Basic understanding of application and API security (e.g., OAuth2, OpenID Connect, HTTPS/TLS)
• Fluent English communication skills
• Motivation to grow into a formal Architecture role

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with event streaming technologies like Kafka or Azure Event Hub
• Familiarity with containerization tools such as Docker and Kubernetes (AKS)
• Experience with API management platforms (e.g., Azure API Management)
• Knowledge of Spring Batch or Enterprise Architect Sparx
