Issuing Risk Operations Associate

Responsibilities

• Lead the resolution of complex card payment risk cases and escalations with precision and accountability.
• Contribute to the design, implementation, and refinement of issuing risk rules to stay ahead of emerging fraud patterns.
• Identify and implement ways to leverage AI tools and automated workflows to improve daily operating efficiency.
• Collaborate with cross-functional global partners in Product, Engineering, and Compliance to support business growth.
• Translate learnings from daily escalations into structural process improvements to reduce future risk and customer friction.

Requirements

• Background in card payment risk, fraud operations, account takeover (ATO) risk control, or issuing dispute management within a high-growth FinTech or global startup.
• Experience using SQL, Databricks, and Business Intelligence tools to analyze fraud trends and inform rule adjustments.
• Proven ability to use AI/LLMs and automation to solve operational bottlenecks and enhance risk control.
• Strong ability to coordinate with global stakeholders and adapt quickly to different regional requirements and fast product launches.
• A high sense of ownership and a commitment to seeing complex problems through to their final resolution.
