iSeries Software Developer

Responsibilities

• Develop, maintain, and support IBM i / AS400 warehouse management applications
• Design and modify RPG, RPGLE, CL, SQL, and DB2 programs related to warehouse operations
• Support WMS integrations with ERP systems, handheld RF devices, barcode scanners, and shipping systems
• Troubleshoot production issues and provide timely resolution for warehouse and distribution operations
• Participate in system upgrades, testing, deployments, and change management processes
• Create and maintain technical documentation for applications, interfaces, and procedures
• Collaborate with warehouse operations teams to identify process improvements and automation opportunities
• Monitor system performance and ensure application stability and data integrity
• Assist with after-hours support as needed for critical warehouse operations

Requirements

• 3+ years of IBM i (AS400/iSeries) development experience
• Strong experience with RPG IV, RPGLE, CL, SQL, and DB2 for i
• Experience supporting or developing Warehouse Management Systems (WMS)
• Knowledge of inventory control, shipping, receiving, picking, packing, and distribution processes
• Experience with EDI, APIs, or system integrations
• Strong troubleshooting and analytical skills

Preferred Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field
