IRAD Program Manager

Responsibilities

• Manage and oversee technical IRAD execution to bring new technologies and products to engineering and production.
• Collaborate with the Technical Director and Engineering Fellows to advance space-based electronics and payload capabilities.
• Execute IRAD projects to cost and schedule while ensuring compliance with federal funding rulesets.
• Support capital investment planning in alignment with long-term technical strategy.
• Coordinate radiation testing with the Radiation Manager to ensure hardware meets space-grade standards.
• Provide leadership with quarterly reports on budget, execution metrics, and Technology Readiness Levels (TRL).
• Maintain comprehensive project documentation, including risk registers and milestone trackers.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in an Engineering discipline (Electrical, Mechanical, Systems, etc.) or equivalent experience.
• 10+ years of experience in the Aerospace Industry with Advanced Space Products.
• 10+ years of experience working in a small-to-mid-sized business environment.
• Deep knowledge of IRAD processes and technical development lifecycles.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Project, Jira, and standard office suites.
• US Citizenship is required.

Preferred Qualifications

• PMP (Project Management Professional) certification or equivalent project management credential.
