IQC Inspector 3

Responsibilities

• Perform dimensional and visual inspections of incoming product parts, assemblies, and products to ensure specifications are met.
• Conduct detailed documentation reviews to ensure all required data and certifications are accurate for each lot.
• Inspect various materials including electronic assemblies, PCBs, metal structures, optical precision parts, and plastic components.
• Record inspection results in computer-based software and create inspection history files for the ERP system.
• Maintain traceability of component materials and handle materials according to procedures to prevent damage or mix-ups.
• Use ERP systems to transact and release materials for production use.
• Create non-conforming reports in SAP for parts that fail incoming specifications.
• Communicate results to engineers to improve inspection methods or clarify drawings.
• Perform Gage R&R studies and complete First Article Inspection (FAIR) using various tools and equipment.

Requirements

• 4-6 years of related experience or training in inspection.
• Proficiency in operating standard metrology equipment (calipers, height gauges, micrometers, bore gauges, etc.).
• Experience operating Optical comparators and Vision Systems (such as Smart Scope, Keyence, or Dynascope).
• Ability to interpret complex mechanical drawings and a strong working knowledge of GD&T concepts.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite.
• High school diploma required; an A.S. Engineering Degree is a plus.
• Ability to lift a minimum of 25 lbs.

Preferred Qualifications

• Knowledge of Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP).
• Experience using SAP or other ERP systems for lot transactions.
