IPZ Executive (Account Handler - Liability and Marine)

Responsibilities

• Provide underwriting guidance and support to foreign Property Casualty Underwriters regarding the interpretation and application of regional practices.
• Advise on wording and coverage to facilitate best practices and manage risks associated with global programs.
• Take responsibility for the issuance of local policies, ensuring accuracy and adherence to instructions from foreign Service Specialists.
• Manage and resolve issues related to local coverage requirements, policy issuance, premium payment, and claims flow.
• Act as a local contact person for customers and brokers, serving as a communication channel between producing and partner countries.
• Maintain data quality and integrity within local systems and global administration tools for policy, premium, and claims data.
• Identify continuous improvement opportunities and participate in LEAN initiatives such as Kaizen events.

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree and 2+ years of experience in underwriting or another insurance area, OR High School Diploma and 4+ years of experience in underwriting or another insurance area.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office.

Preferred Qualifications

• Knowledge of the US insurance industry and its legal and regulatory environment.
• Strong understanding of underwriting philosophy, techniques, and national/local filing regulations.
• Strong negotiation, sales, and relationship-building skills.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Experience in needs analysis.
• Fluency in languages other than English.
