IPC Technical Trainer

Responsibilities

• Develop and deliver comprehensive training programs on IPC standards (e.g., IPC-A-610, IPC/WHMA-A-620, IPC-J-STD-001) for new and existing employees
• Train employees in precise hand soldering techniques and cable assembly processes
• Create and update training materials to reflect the latest industry standards and best practices
• Assess trainees' skills and knowledge through practical and theoretical evaluations
• Provide constructive feedback and additional training to ensure competency
• Maintain accurate training records, including attendance and certification statuses
• Emphasize quality control, safety protocols, and the proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE)
• Implement continuous improvements to the training program based on feedback and technological advancements

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent
• 3-5 years of experience in electronics manufacturing, specifically focusing on hand soldering and cable building
• Required IPC certification (CIT/CIS) in relevant standards such as IPC-A-610, IPC/WHMA-A-620, or IPC-J-STD-001
• Strong technical knowledge of IPC standards and electronics manufacturing processes
• Excellent verbal, written, and in-person presentation skills
• Ability to assess trainee skills and provide constructive feedback
• Strong organizational skills and high attention to detail

Preferred Qualifications

• Technical certification or associate degree in electronics or a related field
• Proficiency in MS Office and related software suites
