About the role

Responsibilities

  • Assist attorneys in all phases of IP litigation from case initiation through trial
  • Manage case deadlines, calendaring, and day-to-day case management tasks
  • Draft and prepare court filings in Federal and State courts
  • Support discovery processes, including document collection, organization, review, and production
  • Assist with invalidity and infringement contentions and claim construction briefing
  • Perform proofreading, cite-checking, and Bluebook formatting for briefs and discovery documents
  • Coordinate trial and arbitration preparations, including travel and vendor coordination
  • Mentor and provide guidance to junior paralegals and legal assistants

Requirements

  • 5+ years of relevant paralegal experience preferred
  • Bachelor's degree preferred, or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and Adobe
  • Proficiency in Lexis Nexis, Westlaw, and iManage
  • Experience with eDiscovery databases such as Relativity, Opus 2, or CaseMap
  • Experience with USPTO Patent Center and ability to obtain patents and prior art
  • Strong knowledge of patent terminology and citations
  • Ability to travel as needed and work overtime when necessary

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with litigation before the PTAB, ITC, and Federal Circuit
  • Experience with Hatch-Waxman or life sciences IP litigation
