iOS Developer

Responsibilities

• Develop new iOS features to connect, configure, and control smart household appliances and sensors
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams including firmware, cloud/API engineers, and UX/UI designers
• Maintain and extend iOS app architecture, including modules, connectivity layers, and state management
• Onboard new hardware integrations such as device discovery via Bluetooth/WiFi and firmware update flows
• Diagnose and resolve complex issues related to connectivity, network performance, and memory management
• Participate in code reviews, design discussions, and mentor junior team members
• Support the full mobile app lifecycle from feature definition to App Store release

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience in native iOS development using Swift and the iOS SDK
• Proficiency with UIKit or SwiftUI
• Experience integrating with hardware-connected devices (e.g., Bluetooth LE, WiFi, IoT)
• Strong understanding of asynchronous programming (Combine, RxSwift, or async/await)
• Experience with RESTful APIs, JSON serialization, and handling network failures
• Knowledge of modular architecture patterns such as MVVM, Coordinators, or Clean Architecture
• Familiarity with the MQTT protocol
• Proficiency with Git, CI/CD pipelines, and unit testing (XCTest/XCUITest)
• Fluent in English

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with SwiftUI migration from legacy UIKit code
• Background in the consumer-hardware or smart-home domain (appliances, sensors, robotics)
• Familiarity with IoT platforms, device provisioning, and over-the-air (OTA) updates
• Experience using dependency-injection frameworks and Swift Package Manager or CocoaPods
• Knowledge of performance profiling tools like Instruments
