About the Company

Pear VC is a venture capital firm that partners with founders from day zero, often before an idea, product, or team exists. We are former founders and operators who get in the trenches with founders, providing hands-on mentorship, recruiting support, and operational insights.

Responsibilities

• Build authentic relationships with current founders, engineers, researchers, professors, and recent grads to identify future founders
• Attend, host, and organize events to steer builders toward the PearX program and seed dealflow
• Act as the connective tissue between builders and Pear to ensure the firm is the first call for new companies
• Select, leverage, and manage a group of student Fellows to act as eyes and ears on campus
• Develop creative ways to connect with and gain access to elite talent

Requirements

• Deep passion for sourcing and a talent for identifying exceptional people
• Ability to build a proprietary network and command respect from the founder community
• High autonomy and trusted independent judgment
• Builder mindset with experience as a founder, early startup employee, or community organizer
• Strong relationship-building, organizational, and problem-solving skills
• Curiosity and a first-principles approach to exploring new markets and products

Preferred Qualifications

• B.S. in Computer Science or equivalent
• 5+ years of professional experience in the startup or tech world
• Former venture-backed founder
• Active involvement in on-campus startup communities
