About the role
Responsibilities
- Lead and manage engagement with companies regarding enterprise value creation, corporate governance, and financially material sustainability factors.
- Conduct thorough company-specific research to identify and set objectives for relevant engagement topics.
- Monitor progress toward engagement milestones and maintain accurate records.
- Collaborate with internal teams to produce research and marketing materials related to governance and sustainability.
- Analyze shareholder meeting agendas to ensure accurate and timely proxy voting in accordance with guidelines.
- Support the firm’s Proxy Committee by providing research and recommendations on industry trends.
- Provide support for institutional and wealth management clients through meeting attendance and RFP responses.
- Monitor global regulatory developments and contribute to public policy consultations.
Requirements
- At least seven (7) years of experience in a relevant field, such as a global corporation, asset manager, or asset owner.
- Bachelor's degree is required.
- Proven experience in corporate governance, stewardship, or corporate sustainability.
- Demonstrated track record of successfully engaging with senior executives and directors.
- Strong analytical, interpersonal, and communication skills.
- Ability to interpret and explain complex business and financial topics to various stakeholders.
Preferred Qualifications
- Fundamental investment research experience.
- Understanding of integrating governance or sustainability into investment processes or corporate operations.
