About the role

Responsibilities

  • Provide financial and investment planning advice to deliver solutions in the best interests of customers
  • Proactively engage with new and existing customers through needs-based assessments to grow loyalty
  • Implement business development strategies, including outbound calling and cultivating branch referrals
  • Identify opportunities to generate referrals for personal and commercial banking products
  • Support the achievement of sales and performance targets through effective service and transaction support
  • Introduce clients to investment strategies and assist them in setting financial goals
  • Work towards Financial Planner accreditation and complete associated requirements within a 12-24 month timeframe
  • Maintain current knowledge of personal investment products, practices, and industry trends
  • Protect the Bank's assets by complying with all regulatory, legal, and ethical requirements

Requirements

  • 2-3 years of relevant experience in a financial services environment
  • Post-secondary degree in a related field of study or an equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Working towards the regulatory/governing body licensing and registration requirements of a Financial Planner
  • Strong working knowledge of the financial industry
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Proven organizational, collaboration, and teamwork skills
