Investment Principal

Responsibilities

• Proactively leverage and expand professional networks to support deal sourcing and gather market intelligence
• Monitor regional capital market activity with a specific focus on the Japanese market
• Screen for and maintain a pipeline of potential investment candidates across growth equity, private equity, and venture capital
• Evaluate potential investments through detailed analysis of business and market factors
• Assist the team with negotiation and execution, including reviewing commercial language in deal documentation
• Build and maintain trustful relationships with company executives, bankers, and advisors
• Monitor post-investment developments to support portfolio companies and inform position management

Requirements

• Bilingual proficiency in Japanese and English
• 5+ years of experience in investment banking, hedge funds, or related investment roles
• Strong proficiency in Bloomberg, Excel, and PowerPoint
• Ability to carefully read and interpret financial statements and legal documents
• Proven competence in data analysis and financial modeling
• Demonstrated track record in deal sourcing, negotiation, and execution

Preferred Qualifications

• Direct experience with private placements or equity/equity-linked securities
• Demonstrated interest or experience in high-growth industries such as technology or biotech
