About the Company

Project A is a Berlin-based tech investor with > EUR 1.3b in assets under management. The firm invests in early-stage VC and co-invests with leading PE funds in buyout and growth transactions, providing portfolio companies with extensive operational support.

Responsibilities

• Co-design and refine the direct PE strategy, defining investment themes and criteria
• Actively source platform and add-on investment opportunities through network building and outreach
• Conduct deep market research, competitive benchmarking, and financial modelling including LBO modelling
• Lead and manage due diligence workstreams across commercial, financial, legal, tax, and ESG domains
• Structure acquisitions and debt financing, and co-lead SPA and SHA negotiations
• Support portfolio companies post-acquisition as a non-executive board member to drive growth and exits

Requirements

• Bachelor, Master, or MBA from a leading university with excellent results
• 5+ years of professional experience
• At least 3 years of hands-on experience in small- or mid-cap private equity, corporate M&A, or M&A investment banking
• Proven track record in deal sourcing and origination
• Expertise in financial modelling (LBO), valuation, and transaction structuring
• Familiarity with SPA/SHA documentation and term negotiation
• Fluent in German and English
