Investment Banking Analyst (Securities Research Associate)

Responsibilities

• Assist on work streams for M&A, corporate finance, or capital market transactions within the TMT sector
• Develop in-depth understanding of TMT sub-sectors including FinTech, Internet, Media, Semiconductor, Software, and Telecom
• Prepare pitchbook components such as industry overviews, company profiles, and deal case studies
• Support equity and debt capital raising activities, including IPOs and bond issuances
• Perform comparable company analysis, precedent transaction analysis, and valuation modeling
• Conduct financial analysis, industry benchmarking, and sector updates
• Utilize market databases like FactSet, Bloomberg, and Refinitiv to support research
• Mentor junior analysts and contribute to quality checking and project management
• Leverage AI platforms to summarize information and analyze data while maintaining human oversight

Requirements

• 2+ years of Securities Research experience or equivalent professional training
• Strong understanding of financial concepts, valuation techniques, and accounting fundamentals
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Microsoft PowerPoint
• Experience using market databases such as FactSet, Bloomberg, or Refinitiv
• Strong logical, analytical, and systematic problem-solving skills
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for interacting with senior stakeholders

Preferred Qualifications

• MBA or Master's in Finance from a premier educational institute
• Strong inclination toward a career in Investment Banking or Capital Markets
• Deep knowledge of credit metrics, capital structure, and financial statement analysis
