About the role

Responsibilities

  • Provide advanced trading and client service support to high-value and highly active trader clients.
  • Execute and manage single-and multi-legged options strategies within equity and derivatives markets.
  • Address high-complexity inquiries involving options pricing, volatility, margin requirements, and risk/reward profiles.
  • Liaise with internal departments such as Order Management, Settlements, Credit, and Compliance to ensure proper order handling.
  • Proactively manage client accounts through outbound calls for margin calls, retention, and short sale buy backs.
  • Identify referral and cross-sell opportunities to grow assets under management and deepen client relationships.
  • Minimize business risk by identifying trading discrepancies and adhering to KYC, AML, and privacy regulations.

Requirements

  • University degree or work equivalency.
  • Minimum 2-3 years of trading experience.
  • Minimum 1 year of experience in Options trading.
  • Completion of Canadian Securities Course (CSC) and Conduct and Practice Handbook (CPH).
  • Completion of Derivatives Fundamentals and Options Licensing Course (DFOL) or CIRE.
  • Ability to register as an Investment Representative for Equities and Options with CIRO.
  • Excellent communication skills to explain technical capital markets concepts to sophisticated investors.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bilingualism (French, Mandarin, or Cantonese).
  • Previous experience working in a discount brokerage environment.
