About the role

Responsibilities

  • Support portfolio and pipeline oversight by compiling, validating, and analyzing data and maintaining trackers.
  • Coordinate across IFC Investment, Advisory, and Upstream teams throughout the project cycle to ensure timely follow-up.
  • Assist with investment-cycle execution, including financial modeling, concept reviews, and drafting internal documents.
  • Support integrity-related processes, including stakeholder and client screening.
  • Prepare operational communication materials, including agendas, talking points, and meeting minutes for missions.
  • Monitor economic, political, and financial market developments to inform management reporting and scenario summaries.
  • Conduct business research and sector scans to support business development and the preparation of pitch books.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Economics, Finance, Business Administration, Engineering, Management, or a related field.
  • 2-4 years of relevant experience in banking operations, investment project processing, or project coordination/PMO.
  • Strong quantitative and financial analysis skills, including Excel-based financial modeling and valuation.
  • Proficiency in both English and Portuguese (written and verbal).
  • Strong project management skills with the ability to prioritize workstreams and meet deadlines.
  • Excellent synthesis and communication skills to distill complex information into concise documents.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Proficiency in Spanish.
  • Experience with due diligence, compliance, KYC/AML, or integrity-related processes.
  • Familiarity with macroeconomic indicators and their impact on financial markets.
