Investigative Photojournalist

Responsibilities

• Shoot and edit visually exciting content for investigative stories, live shots, and features across broadcast, digital, and streaming platforms
• Collaborate with journalists to develop a cohesive vision for news stories and long-form projects
• Pitch unique enterprise story ideas during daily content meetings
• Safely maintain and operate company newsgathering equipment, including mirrorless and gimbal cameras
• Adhere to the principles of ethical journalism and represent the station professionally in public
• Edit stories using Edius, DaVinci Resolve, and Adobe Premiere

Requirements

• 2-5 years of relevant experience in photojournalism and professional story editing
• Valid driver’s license and a clean driving record
• Ability to lift camera gear up to 40 lbs. and occasionally up to 80 lbs.
• Flexibility to work mornings, nights, holidays, and weekends

Preferred Qualifications

• FAA Part 107 Pilot’s license with drone newsgathering experience
• Proficiency in Adobe Creative Cloud (Premiere, After Effects, and Photoshop)
• Competency with mirrorless and gimbal camera systems
