Inventory Technician IV

Responsibilities

• Manage the full lifecycle of IT assets, including receiving, intake, deployment, and disposition.
• Organize and maintain inventory areas to ensure hardware and components are categorized and accurately documented.
• Conduct regular cycle counts and reconcile physical inventory against internal tracking systems.
• Investigate root causes of inventory variances and implement corrective actions.
• Develop and implement standardized labeling conventions and SOPs for inventory management.
• Provide hands-on support for physical infrastructure, including cable management, patching, and labeling.
• Support office builds, expansions, and equipment staging projects.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience in IT asset management, inventory control, or a related field.
• Proficiency with inventory management systems such as ServiceNow or Snipe-IT.
• Strong understanding of IT hardware and peripherals (laptops, monitors, docking stations, etc.).
• Proven experience conducting cycle counts and reconciling discrepancies.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills for client interaction.
• Ability to lift and carry equipment up to 50 lbs and work in data center or server room environments.

Preferred Qualifications

• CompTIA A+ or Network+ certification.
• Experience in a hyperscale technology or data center environment.
• Familiarity with DCIM tools or structured cabling standards.
• Experience developing SOPs for asset management workflows.
• Knowledge of basic network infrastructure, including patch panels, switches, and wireless access points.
