About the role
Responsibilities
- Manage the full lifecycle of IT assets, including receiving, intake, deployment, and disposition.
- Organize and maintain inventory areas to ensure hardware and components are categorized and accurately documented.
- Conduct regular cycle counts and reconcile physical inventory against internal tracking systems.
- Investigate root causes of inventory variances and implement corrective actions.
- Develop and implement standardized labeling conventions and SOPs for inventory management.
- Provide hands-on support for physical infrastructure, including cable management, patching, and labeling.
- Support office builds, expansions, and equipment staging projects.
Requirements
- 5+ years of experience in IT asset management, inventory control, or a related field.
- Proficiency with inventory management systems such as ServiceNow or Snipe-IT.
- Strong understanding of IT hardware and peripherals (laptops, monitors, docking stations, etc.).
- Proven experience conducting cycle counts and reconciling discrepancies.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills for client interaction.
- Ability to lift and carry equipment up to 50 lbs and work in data center or server room environments.
Preferred Qualifications
- CompTIA A+ or Network+ certification.
- Experience in a hyperscale technology or data center environment.
- Familiarity with DCIM tools or structured cabling standards.
- Experience developing SOPs for asset management workflows.
- Knowledge of basic network infrastructure, including patch panels, switches, and wireless access points.
