Inventory Specialist

Responsibilities

• Execute daily Ship-from-Store (SFS) operations, including accurate picking, packing, labeling, and shipping
• Support omnichannel execution to ensure efficient order processing and inventory flow
• Assist with receiving, unloading, and stocking merchandise and supplies according to operational guidelines
• Maintain accurate inventory through regular counts and replenishment support
• Support a safe, clean, and compliant Pet Care Center environment for pets and customers
• Provide friendly and solution-oriented customer service on the sales floor as needed

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED, or equivalent work experience
• Minimum of 1 year of experience working with or caring for companion animals and aquatic life
• Strong knowledge of animal care, husbandry, and maintenance practices
• Basic math proficiency and strong organizational skills
• Ability to lift and move merchandise, supplies, or animals weighing up to 50 pounds
• Ability to work in a retail environment with proximity to animals, including exposure to dander and odors

Preferred Qualifications

• Completion of the Petco Animal Care Certification Program
• Genuine interest in animal welfare and pet care
