Inventory Specialist

Responsibilities

• Source and purchase parts and materials to maintain optimal inventory levels and meet order requirements
• Monitor and expedite purchase orders to ensure timely delivery and appropriate lead times
• Maintain accurate purchasing records and update the ERP system with current cost and material data
• Utilize data-driven procurement methods, analyzing trends, seasonality, and historical data (MOQ, EOQ, OOQ)
• Manage vendor relations to ensure the "7Rs": Right Product, Qty, Paperwork, Place, Time, Vendor, and Price
• Coordinate import paperwork for air, ocean, and ground freight to ensure compliance and timeliness
• Identify and resolve inventory discrepancies and cross-functional challenges
• Maintain compliance with company policies and regulatory standards, including AS/ISO and Export Control

Requirements

• Experience in inventory control, purchasing, procurement, supply chain, or materials management
• Strong Microsoft Excel skills, including proficiency in data analysis and reporting
• Excellent attention to detail and record-keeping abilities
• Strong problem-solving skills to resolve purchasing and inventory discrepancies
• Effective communication skills for collaborating with vendors and internal departments

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience using an ERP system (e.g., SAP, Oracle, NetSuite, Epicor, or Microsoft Dynamics)
