About the role
Responsibilities
- Manage purchasing activities including ordering consumables, receipting purchase orders, and following up on backorders
- Maintain stock levels through regular stocktakes, stock rotation, and labeling of goods
- Handle invoice management and maintain media certificates and reports
- Coordinate logistics by delivering orders to labs and managing the collection/disposal of recycling and waste
- Perform general manual handling tasks and maintain warehouse and coolroom cleanliness
- Support laboratory operations through the login of reagents, standards, and plastic ware
Requirements
- Previous experience in a production, manufacturing, warehousing, or similar environment
- Strong communication and customer service skills (email, phone, and in-person)
- Intermediate MS Office skills and high attention to detail regarding data entry
- Ability to multi-task and prioritize effectively in a fast-paced environment
- Physical capability for manual handling, including prolonged standing and lifting up to 12 kg
