Inventory Procurement Associate

Responsibilities

• Source, negotiate, and purchase parts, tools, and materials for R&D, production, and field operations
• Build and maintain relationships with suppliers to ensure quality, competitive pricing, and on-time delivery
• Track and manage inventory across labs, warehouses, and deployment sites
• Receive, label, store, and issue materials used in R&D, production, and field builds
• Plan and kit materials for prototype, NPI, and production builds
• Submit and monitor purchase requests for hardware components including mechanical, electrical, and PCBAs
• Maintain organized records of POs, receipts, invoices, and part usage
• Conduct regular cycle counts and resolve inventory discrepancies
• Coordinate domestic and international shipments and ensure customs compliance
• Maintain and upkeep warehouse storage areas and implement material handling best practices

Requirements

• 3–5 years of experience in procurement, inventory management, or hardware operations
• Experience with ERP/procurement systems such as Coupa, SAP, or NetSuite
• Familiarity with hardware development cycles and BOMs
• Strong vendor management and negotiation skills
• Proficiency in Excel or Google Sheets for data analysis
• Ability to lift up to 40 lbs and work in a hands-on lab/warehouse environment

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience supporting autonomy, robotics, UAVs, or aerospace programs
• Familiarity with PLM systems like Arena or Agile
• Knowledge of international logistics, duties, and shipping compliance
• Experience with low-volume, high-complexity parts procurement
• Proficiency in Jira and Confluence
• Forklift certification or warehouse safety training
