About the role
Responsibilities
- Source, negotiate, and purchase parts, tools, and materials for R&D, production, and field operations
- Build and maintain relationships with suppliers to ensure quality, competitive pricing, and on-time delivery
- Track and manage inventory across labs, warehouses, and deployment sites
- Receive, label, store, and issue materials used in R&D, production, and field builds
- Plan and kit materials for prototype, NPI, and production builds
- Submit and monitor purchase requests for hardware components including mechanical, electrical, and PCBAs
- Maintain organized records of POs, receipts, invoices, and part usage
- Conduct regular cycle counts and resolve inventory discrepancies
- Coordinate domestic and international shipments and ensure customs compliance
- Maintain and upkeep warehouse storage areas and implement material handling best practices
Requirements
- 3–5 years of experience in procurement, inventory management, or hardware operations
- Experience with ERP/procurement systems such as Coupa, SAP, or NetSuite
- Familiarity with hardware development cycles and BOMs
- Strong vendor management and negotiation skills
- Proficiency in Excel or Google Sheets for data analysis
- Ability to lift up to 40 lbs and work in a hands-on lab/warehouse environment
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience supporting autonomy, robotics, UAVs, or aerospace programs
- Familiarity with PLM systems like Arena or Agile
- Knowledge of international logistics, duties, and shipping compliance
- Experience with low-volume, high-complexity parts procurement
- Proficiency in Jira and Confluence
- Forklift certification or warehouse safety training
