Inventory/Demand Planning Excess Lead

Responsibilities

• Take end-to-end ownership of excess inventory by identifying root causes and driving effective clearance solutions.
• Consolidate and manage excess inventory exposure across various markets, categories, and brands.
• Drive upstream prevention by partnering with Category, Campaign, and Commercial Planning teams.
• Establish global guardrails, SOPs, and governance frameworks for excess management.
• Develop structured playbooks to clear excess stock while protecting brand value and margins.
• Design innovative and commercially effective ways to manage excess without cannibalizing the core portfolio.
• Ensure clear reporting, visibility, and alignment to central KPIs across all markets.
• Collaborate with Finance and Supply Chain to secure necessary resources and execution support.
• Monitor performance of excess reduction actions and implement continuous learning loops to improve future planning.

Requirements

• 7–10+ years of experience in inventory management, supply chain, commercial planning, or S&OP environments.
• Proven experience managing excess inventory or obsolescence in complex, multi-market businesses.
• Strong commercial and financial understanding, particularly regarding inventory and margin trade-offs.
• Ability to identify root causes and translate insights into practical, preventative solutions.
• Experience working cross-functionally with Commercial, Supply Chain, and Finance teams.
• Strong governance mindset with the ability to create clear, effective processes.
• Creative problem-solving skills and the confidence to challenge existing ways of working.
• Ability to influence stakeholders and drive change without direct authority.
