About the role

Responsibilities

  • Perform daily hospital organization including cleaning, laundry, and stocking
  • Conduct daily, weekly, monthly, and bi-annual inventory counts and audits
  • Order, receive, and stock inventory for treatment areas, exam rooms, and stock rooms
  • Monitor product turnover, rotation, and expiration dates
  • Maintain Cubex and report expired stock or product recalls
  • Communicate backordered items and vendor exhaustion
  • Oversee equipment maintenance logs and advise leadership on repairs
  • Develop and maintain vendor and representative contacts
  • Maintain drug waste and invoice logs in accordance with DEA and regulatory standards
  • Oversee OSHA standards through management of sanitation and safety equipment
  • Perform basic CPR based on RECOVER initiative guidelines

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Desire to pursue a career in veterinary medicine
  • Experience with inventory management is a plus
  • Comprehension of basic medical terminology and abbreviations
  • Ability to stand for prolonged hours, kneel, and work on the floor
  • Ability to lift up to 25 kg independently and 40 kg with assistance
  • Willingness to work in noisy environments with strong or unpleasant odors
  • Availability to work nights, weekends, and holidays on a rotating basis
